Equine Anatomy - 285 Hours
            Educated and understood about origins, insertions and actions of each muscle in the horse’s body along with the structural aspect of the horse. Knowledge of systemic functions such as circulatory, nervous and muscular systems.
 
Equine Physiology - 285 Hours
            Knowledge of the Equine body on a microscopic level through the relationships of cells, muscle functions; contractions and metabolic waste build up (lactic acid) and homeostasis in the body.
 
Equine Pathology - 290 Hours
            Learned current pathologies (a deviation from a healthy, normal, or efficient condition) and how to treat them. Understood conditions that affect the horse’s performance muscularly, systemically or structurally.
 
Conformation and Kinesiology - 130 Hours
            Understood various types of conformation in the equine and what movements are produced due to the conformation. Understood that certain conformations are designated and properly suited for a particular discipline.
 
Equine Massage Theory and Techniques - 335 Hours
            Educated of various techniques to massage, how these techniques produce results in the body, also along with specialized techniques which are used for particular cases.
 
Equine Massage Treatments - 325 Hours
            Thoroughly understood the various treatments that can and can not be performed to the horse for each case or injury.
 
Hydrotherapy - 55 Hours
            Applied correct temperatures to various pathologies at different stages, and understood the effects of cold, warm and hot hydrotherapy.
 
Equine Behaviour - 90 Hours
            Understood normal and abnormal herd behaviour as well as between horses and humans. Able to recognize positive and negative body language during a massage treatment to create a comfortable process.
 
Equine Management 1 & 2 - 225 Hours
            Understood equine care, various disciplines, basic nutrition, and safe management procedures.
 
Professionalism and Ethics - 30 Hours
            Educated in the expectations of the equine massage therapy field, understanding the importance of the relationships between the client, chiropractor, veterinarian and farrier. 
 
Business Management - Min. of 25 Hours
            Understood the planning process, financial demand and management of how to run a business, covered business planning, advertising, maintaining records.
 
Research Component - Min. of 125 Hours
            Researched a specific pathology and reported the pathology in a paper. A case report was performed with a minimum of 8 treatments on a horse with a diagnosed pathology from a veterinarian. The process was recorded by the therapist, after the treatments was complete the results were collected and written in a formal paper.
